The deal was finalized with expert legal guidance from specialist lawyers at mfg Solicitors, who acted on behalf of buyers Dave and Clare Cowin in the purchase of Robinsons Catering Limited for an undisclosed price.
Family-Run Business with Prestigious Clientele
Family-operated Robinsons Catering was originally established in 2007 and has built a strong reputation providing comprehensive hot and cold catering services across multiple sectors. The company serves the education, nursery, exhibition, and corporate hospitality industries throughout the region. Among its notable clients is the NEC, recognized as the United Kingdom's largest event space and exhibition venue.
Legal Team Facilitates Smooth Transition
Philip Chapman, a partner within mfg Solicitors' Corporate division, expressed satisfaction with the completed acquisition. "We are delighted to have acted on behalf of the buyer to complete the acquisition of Robinsons Catering Limited," Chapman stated. "Robinsons is a family business, and with our guidance, Dave and Clare Cowin have now successfully completed a management buyout after running the business for 10 years. This marks a new beginning for Dave and Clare as they carry on the legacy of the Robinsons name."
Chapman received support from colleague Sufyaan Aslim throughout the acquisition process. The legal team collaborated with Ben Davies of Knight Plc, who represented the seller to finalize the transaction, alongside Richard Newman of Catanneo.
New Owners Express Confidence in Future Growth
Dave Cowin shared his appreciation for the professional assistance received during the complex acquisition process. "I'd like to thank the mfg team for the tremendous support and advice throughout the acquisition process," Cowin said. "It can be complex and time-consuming when taking over a business, but the handling of the whole process from start to finish was superb. We look forward to building an ever more successful business in the months and years ahead."
The management buyout represents a strategic transition for Robinsons Catering, ensuring continuity under leadership familiar with the company's operations while positioning the business for future expansion and development within the competitive Midlands catering market.
