A Cornish housebuilder is set to deliver 50 affordable homes across two developments in the county, with the first properties expected to be ready next spring. Legacy Properties has partnered with housing provider Ocean Housing to build the homes at Goonhavern near Newquay and Trispen near Truro.
Goonhavern Development: The Grange
The Goonhavern scheme, known as The Grange, represents the second and final phase of Legacy’s development. It will include 23 affordable homes as part of a larger 40-home project. The properties will comprise a mix of one-bedroom apartments, two-to-four-bedroom houses, and two wheelchair-accessible bungalows, all available for affordable rent. The first affordable homes are expected to be handed over to Ocean Housing in spring 2027.
Trispen Development: The Paddocks
At The Paddocks in Trispen, Legacy will deliver 27 affordable homes within a wider 80-home scheme. These will include a mix of one-to-four-bedroom houses, bungalows, and apartments, available for social rent and shared ownership. The first affordable homes at Trispen are also anticipated next spring.

High demand and limited housing choices has seen many more individuals and families with children faced with the possibility of being homeless or living in temporary accommodation. That’s why we’re really pleased to be partnering with Legacy Properties to bring affordable homes to Goonhavern and Trispen.”
Sustainable Design
The developments will be built to modern energy-efficiency standards and designed to integrate sensitively with their village settings. They will also include new green space and local infrastructure improvements.
