Knights Law Firm Reports 30% Revenue Growth Amid Cardiff Expansion
Law Firm Knights Sees 30% Revenue Growth in H1 2025

National law firm Knights has unveiled a period of significant financial growth and strategic expansion, marked by its successful entry into the Welsh legal market.

Strong Financial Performance

The firm, headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent, has reported impressive results for the first half of its financial year, ending in October 2025. Revenue is anticipated to reach £103.2 million, representing a substantial 30% increase compared to the same period last year.

Underlying profit before tax also saw healthy growth, rising by 12% to £16.4 million. This robust financial performance underscores the firm's successful growth strategy and operational efficiency.

Strategic Move into the Welsh Market

A key development during this period was the establishment of a physical presence in Wales. This was achieved through the acquisition of Cardiff-based Le Gros Solicitors earlier this year.

The new Cardiff operation currently employs a team of 14 professionals, including eight partners, and is operating from temporary premises at Brunel House. The firm is actively recruiting in the area to further strengthen its local team.

Future Outlook and Permanent Base

Looking ahead, Knights is set to solidify its commitment to the Welsh capital. The company has confirmed it will announce a permanent city centre office location in January.

Chief Executive David Beech commented on the results, stating: "The group delivered a strong first-half results, achieving 30% revenue growth and a return to organic expansion. Recent acquisitions have been integrated seamlessly, supported by continued financial discipline and robust cash generation."

He added that with an expanded management team and a solid platform, the firm is well-positioned to drive the business forward and sustain growth beyond this year. The second half of the year is expected to benefit further from recent experienced hires and the full contribution of acquisitions.

Across its UK-wide network of offices, Knights now employs a total of 1,600 staff, with an impressive 1,350 of them being qualified lawyers.
