In a major strategic move, the long-established North West law practice Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors has made a triumphant return to the heart of Liverpool, 15 years after leaving the city centre. The firm has inaugurated a new professional hub in the prominent 20 Chapel Street building, describing the relocation as a "significant milestone" in its ongoing expansion.
A Strategic Hub for Legal Services
The new city centre base is designed to act as a central meeting point for clients and professional contacts. This opening comes just 12 months after the firm launched an office in Ashton-in-Makerfield, highlighting a period of rapid growth. Announcing the move, the firm emphasised that it not only reflects its historic roots in central Liverpool but also "reinforces the firm's long term commitment to Liverpool as a legal and commercial centre."
Confidence in Growth and Regional Demand
The return to Liverpool coincides with a period of strong financial performance for the 200-year-old practice. In its most recent financial year, turnover from client fees exceeded £5 million for the first time in its history. The firm also maintains other offices across the region in Walton Vale, Maghull, Runcorn, and Warrington.
Managing partner Mike Leeman commented on the strategic importance of the move. "Returning to Liverpool City Centre is an important moment for the firm," he said. "Liverpool has always been central to our history and our identity, and this new office allows us to build on that legacy while looking firmly to the future."
He added that opening a second new office within a year demonstrates the firm's confidence in its team, its strategic direction, and the continued high demand for quality legal services across the North West region.
