Nationwide Fairer Share: Four Million Get £100, Others Miss Out
Nationwide Fairer Share: £100 for 4 Million, Others Miss Out

Nationwide has announced the return of its Fairer Share payout scheme for summer 2026, offering free £100 payments to around four million customers. The money will be deposited automatically into eligible members' accounts between June 10 and June 30, with no action required on their part.

Who Qualifies for the £100?

To receive the payment, customers must hold a current account with Nationwide, as well as either a savings account or a mortgage with the building society. Additionally, savings accounts must have contained at least £100 during March 2026. The cut-off date for eligibility was March 31, meaning it is now too late to qualify.

Who Misses Out?

Households with only a current account or only a savings account will not receive the payment. The scheme rewards members who conduct all or most of their banking with Nationwide.

Nationwide stated: "The Nationwide Fairer Share payment is £100 for the fourth year running. Over 4 million of our members will receive it. We will have paid out over £1.5 billion in total to eligible members since 2023."

Dame Debbie Crosbie, Nationwide’s chief executive, commented: "More people than ever are choosing Nationwide. Our growth in mortgages, retail deposits and personal current accounts is leading the market, which means we can again make a Fairer Share payment to eligible members."
