Firefighter Experience Days in Haverfordwest and Newtown This June
Firefighter Experience Days in Haverfordwest and Newtown

The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is extending an invitation to the public for two Firefighter Experience Days scheduled this June in Haverfordwest and Newtown.

Event Dates and Times

  • Wednesday, June 3 – Haverfordwest Fire Station – 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Friday, June 5 – Newtown Fire Station – 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

The service covers nearly 12,000 square kilometres, almost two-thirds of Wales, providing emergency response across a vast region. On-Call Firefighters form a critical component of the service, with approximately 75 percent of stations crewed entirely by these dedicated individuals.

These Experience Days offer a friendly, no-pressure environment for anyone considering a career as a firefighter. Participants can try on firefighting kit, learn how to assemble equipment, and engage in a practical exercise. Crew members from Haverfordwest and Newtown will be present to answer questions and share insights into daily life as a firefighter.
