Birmingham's RumRum Nightclub to Close After Six Years with Final NYE Parties
Birmingham's RumRum Nightclub Announces Closure

A popular Birmingham city centre nightclub has announced it will close its doors permanently in the new year, marking the end of a six-year chapter for partygoers.

The Final Dance: New Year's Eve Send-Off

RumRum, located at 70 Hurst Street inside The Arcadian complex, will host two final events for its loyal customers. The venue will stage farewell parties on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day before shutting for the final time on January 1.

In an emotional social media announcement, the club's management described the choice to close as "not an easy decision", but stated that "every beautiful journey has a final chapter". They are now urging former patrons to return and join them for "one last dance" to celebrate the club's history.

A Home for Party Lovers: Six Years of Memories

The venue, which took over the space previously occupied by bar Primo, branded itself as "the real home of party lovers". In its statement, the club reflected on its role in the city's social scene.

"This place was never just a club. It was a feeling," the post read. It went on to describe RumRum as a meeting point where strangers became friends, and where countless birthdays, celebrations, and personal milestones were marked over the years.

The management thanked every guest, artist, and staff member who had been part of the RumRum story, emphasising the "millions of smiles shared" and "thousands of songs played" within its walls.

Last Call on Hurst Street

The closure will see another unit in The Arcadian, a well-known leisure and retail hub in Birmingham's Southside district, become vacant. The final message from the team was one of gratitude rather than goodbye.

"If RumRum was ever part of your story — your first night out, your favourite weekend, your escape, your second home — this is your moment to come back," the announcement concluded, inviting the community to fill the dancefloor a final time.

The club's last events will take place at its city centre location, B5 4TD, offering a final opportunity for revellers to experience the venue that has been a staple of Birmingham's nightlife since it opened.
