The new restaurant will occupy a prominent position at the corner of Birmingham Road and Manor Hill in Sutton Coldfield town centre. It will be housed within the former Built Unique Co gym building, a site that has previously served as a Blockbuster video store, a Morrisons Daily convenience shop, and a kitchen and bathroom showroom.
The spacious two-floor venue will cover approximately 3,360 square feet, providing comfortable seating for around 100 diners indoors with additional outdoor seating for 32 guests. This substantial development represents a significant investment in the local high street and dining scene.

Rudy's maintains rigorous standards as an establishment accredited by the Association of True Neapolitan Pizza (AVPN), an international organisation dedicated to preserving traditional pizza-making methods. Remarkably, Rudy's holds the distinction of being the largest organisation worldwide to receive this prestigious accreditation.
The pizzeria employs traditional Neapolitan ovens and follows authentic preparation techniques. Their signature dough undergoes a meticulous 24-hour double fermentation process using premium 00 Caputo flour. This foundation combines with Fior di Latte mozzarella and San Marzano tomatoes, creating what the establishment refers to as the 'Holy Trinity' of pizza ingredients, all authentically sourced from the Naples region of Italy.
Menu Offerings and Culinary Recognition
The menu features classic Neapolitan recipes including Marinara, Margherita, and Calabrese pizzas, alongside three rotating specials that change every six weeks, drawing inspiration from renowned pizzerias in Naples. In 2025, Rudy's earned global recognition by ranking 23rd in the World's 50 Best Pizzerias list.
Beyond their pizza offerings, the restaurant will feature a well-stocked bar serving iconic Italian spritzes, crisp Italian and local lagers, and classic stirred cocktails, completing the authentic Naples dining experience.

The opening will generate more than 20 new employment opportunities for local residents across various roles including kitchen staff, front-of-house positions, and management. The restaurant is scheduled to open during spring, specifically in March, though an exact date remains to be confirmed. Upon opening, it will join several established pizza providers in the vicinity, including nationwide chain Pizza Express, local favourite Pizza by Goli, and takeaway specialists Caspian, all located on the opposite side of Birmingham Road within walking distance.
Since its founding in 2015 with a single Manchester location, Rudy's has experienced remarkable growth, now operating 37 pizzerias across the United Kingdom. The Sutton Coldfield branch follows successful West Midlands openings in Birmingham city centre, Brindleyplace, Harborne, and Royal Leamington Spa.
