Ty Gwyn Takes Over Cheshire Caravan Park with Ambitious Revamp Plans
A North Wales-based holiday firm has acquired a Cheshire caravan park with ambitious plans to transform it into a major regional destination. Ty Gwyn has taken over Fishpool Farm Caravan Park in Delamare, announcing substantial investment to elevate the site.
Rebranding and Reopening Scheduled for Late April
The new owners have renamed the location Fishpool Holiday Park and confirmed it will reopen towards the end of April. This follows a comprehensive programme of infrastructure works, including groundworks, drainage, and landscaping, which are already underway. The first batch of new caravan stock has been delivered to the site.
Rhodri Owen, a director of Ty Gwyn, expressed enthusiasm about the project: "We are looking forward to welcoming new holiday makers to Fishpool Holiday Park after the completion of our programme of works, which are already well underway."
Luxury Accommodations and Eco-Friendly Features
Ty Gwyn plans to introduce a mix of new luxury lodges and caravans, with some lodges being solar-enabled. The park will also feature EV charging points, catering to modern holidaymakers. The company will offer caravans and lodges for both rent and sale, while continuing to provide facilities for touring caravans and motor homes on a seasonal and nightly basis.
Owen added: "We believe that the new site will provide aspirational holiday makers and their dogs with a wonderful base for their holiday, with the choice of holiday lodges, caravans, and pitches for touring caravans."
Strategic Location and Previous Planning Application
The holiday park is set on five acres, close to the village of Tarporley and a few miles from Chester. It is also near Delamere Forest, a popular leisure destination in the region. Previously, an application was lodged with Cheshire West and Chester Council to convert the park from a site with touring and static caravans and glamping pods into one exclusively for static caravans, though the current plans include a broader mix.
Ty Gwyn aims to make Fishpool Holiday Park one of the region's most sought-after destinations, enhancing its appeal with upgraded amenities and a focus on luxury and sustainability.
