Wetherspoon's 2026 January Sale: Pints from 99p & £5 Meals
Wetherspoon's 2026 January Sale: Pints from 99p

Pub giant JD Wetherspoon has unveiled plans for its massive annual January sale in 2026, promising punters across the UK some of the cheapest pints and meals of the year.

Sale Dates and Key Offers

The Wetherspoon January sale is scheduled to run from Friday, January 2, 2026, through to Friday, January 16, 2026. For two full weeks, customers at most of the chain's 800-plus pubs can enjoy dramatically reduced prices.

The headline offer will see a range of draught beers and ales available for as little as 99p per pint. While the exact brands may vary by pub, staples like Ruddles Best, Worthington’s Cream Flow, and Bud Light are typically included. Spirits with a mixer, such as a single measure of Au Vodka or XIX Vodka, are also set to be heavily discounted to around £1.99.

On the food front, a selection of meals will be priced around the £5 mark. This is expected to include deals like a classic burger with a soft drink, small plates, traditional breakfasts, and various deli options.

Deals for Dry January and Beyond

Recognising the popularity of Dry January, the promotion extends to non-alcoholic drinks. Pints of Pepsi Max, Diet Pepsi, and R. White’s Lemonade will also be priced at 99p. Alcohol-free beers like Heineken 0.0 and Stella Artois 0.0 will see price reductions, while coffee and tea with free refills will remain at their standard low prices.

Wetherspoon's chairman, Tim Martin, explained the rationale behind the sale. He stated it is a way to thank loyal customers and help combat the traditional post-Christmas slump in the hospitality sector. The low prices aim to keep pubs busy while providing much-needed value to households tightening their belts after the festive period.

What You Need to Know

It's important to note that while the sale covers the vast majority of Wetherspoon pubs in England, Wales, and Scotland, prices in the Republic of Ireland and some airport or station locations may differ.

The company advises patrons to check the specific offers at their local pub either via the Wetherspoon app or on posters displayed from 8.00am on January 2, 2026. This annual event is set to provide one of the most affordable opportunities to eat and drink out in the UK next year.
