Sheffield's IntelliAM AI seals £250k deals to expand into building sector
IntelliAM AI wins £250k building products contracts

A South Yorkshire artificial intelligence specialist has successfully diversified into the building products market after securing multiple new contracts worth a combined £250,000.

Strategic Expansion into New Markets

IntelliAM AI plc, based in Sheffield, has announced significant deals with four major companies: Marshalls from Elland, H+H based in Castleford, Tarmac, and the global building supplies firm Knauf. These agreements cover manufacturing sites across the UK and Japan, representing the company's formal entry into the building products vertical.

The industrial AI firm, which previously focused on the FMCG and food and beverage industries, confirmed that the newly-secured orders span 15 manufacturing facilities. This expansion follows several months of consultancy-led collaborations with building product manufacturers and comes weeks after the company announced a major contract extension with bakery brand Hovis.

Technology Driving Manufacturing Efficiency

IntelliAM's AI solutions are designed to help manufacturers unlock greater productivity, quality, and performance while reducing waste and increasing throughput. The technology provides teams with 24/7 connectivity and instant engineering insights, enabling more proactive, data-driven decisions that enhance reliability and reduce operational downtime.

Tom Clayton, CEO and founder of Dinnington-based IntelliAM AI, commented: "Manufacturers across the building products sector are dealing with unique pressures ranging from abrasive production environments to growing challenges in staffing, resourcing, and maintaining critical assets.

"What's particularly exciting is that companies like Yorkshire's Marshalls and H+H, as well as Knauf and Tarmac, initially came to us for consultancy support and are now choosing to fully connect their factories through IntelliAM's predictive AI. It's a strong validation of the value we bring."

Rapid Growth and Industry Recognition

Founded in 2023 and built on the technical foundations of Sheffield-based 53 Degrees North, IntelliAM has experienced substantial growth since listing on the Aquis Stock Exchange in July 2024, where it raised over £5 million in funding.

The company has since expanded its machine learning capabilities, grown its senior team, and strengthened strategic partnerships. Recent accolades include winning the Institutional Investor Award at the Aquis Showcase 2025 and being named 'Manufacturing Tech Company of the Year' at the 2025 Business Tech Awards.

Clayton added that the company expects this vertical to continue its rapid growth through the end of the year, signalling confidence in their expanded market position.
