A plot of land owned by Birmingham City Council, located close to the end of the runway at Birmingham Airport and on the edge of a country park, is set to be sold at auction next month.
The freehold land, situated at the rear of 49-51 Hazeldene Road in Sheldon, carries a guide price of £50,000 plus in Bond Wolfe's landmark 50th auction.
The land will feature among scores of lots in Bond Wolfe's next auction, which commences at 8:30am on Thursday, May 14.
Potential Uses for the Plot
Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, confirmed that the land extends to approximately 580 square metres and is being sold on behalf of Birmingham City Council.
"This is an interesting plot of vacant land which may be suitable for a variety of uses, including educational, community or residential, subject to planning permission," he said.
"The site, with access between 49 and 51 Hazeldene Road, is in a predominantly residential area on the edge of Sheldon Country Park, which itself overlooks the end of the runway at Birmingham Airport."
He advised anyone interested in the land to consult with Birmingham City Council's planning department regarding potential uses.
Additional Council Land for Sale
The city council is also offering land at four other sites in Kings Heath, Alum Rock, Handsworth and Sutton Coldfield at the same auction.
The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe's website, with remote bidding available by proxy, telephone or internet.
