Birmingham City have confirmed that season ticket prices will increase when the renewal window opens on Wednesday, April 29. The Blues are set to finish their first season back in the Championship this weekend with an away trip to Portsmouth.
Strong Season Finish
Chris Davies' side are guaranteed a top-half finish, and another point would give the club its best tally in the second tier since the 2011/12 campaign. With a squad assembled at significant expense, a sustained push for promotion is expected next season.
Price Increases Confirmed
The club has not yet published a full price list, with most supporters expected to learn their new costs just hours before the renewal window opens at 10am on Wednesday. However, it has been revealed that there will be £30 increases in two of the most sought-after sections at St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.
Supporters in the KOP Upper will now pay £565, while those in the KOP Centre Lower will be charged £540. A seat in the KOP Upper works out at £24.56 per game in the Championship. The club states that the average adult ticket price will be £465, equating to £20.21 per match.
Renewal Deadline
Season ticket holders have just over a month to renew, with the deadline set for May 31. After that, any unclaimed seats will be made available to fans on the waiting list. Last year, Blues sold 20,000 season tickets and reported over 14,000 people on the waiting list.
These numbers have helped the club achieve regular sell-outs this season, with an average attendance of over 27,000 in the Championship.
