Gregg Wallace's £1.3m Kent Home for Sale as He Starts New Life
Gregg Wallace's £1.3m Home on Market for New Life

Gregg Wallace's 'immaculate' family home could be yours if you are willing to pay £1.295 million. The detached five-bedroom country retreat in Kent even has its own carp lake.

It is believed the former MasterChef presenter bought the property in Biddenden, near Ashford, for £810,000 in 2008. However, it is now on the market as he plans to start a new life in Yorkshire and Italy with his wife, Anne-Marie Sterpini, and their son Sid.

The presenter has previously stressed the sale was not a result of financial hardship following his sacking from the BBC, the Mirror reports.

Estate agents Harpers and Hurlingham described the property as a "delightful, generously proportioned detached family home with equestrian facilities and approximately 5 acres" presented in "immaculate order".

The accommodation features an impressive entrance hall, a triple aspect expansive sitting and dining room with fireplace and log burning stove, a double aspect family room, a study, a stunning quadruple aspect kitchen/breakfast room with doors to the terrace, a utility room, and a cloakroom on the ground floor.

On the first floor, there is a well-proportioned principal bedroom suite comprising a double bedroom, a dressing room, and a bath/shower room, a guest bedroom with ensuite shower room, three further bedrooms, and a family bathroom.

Electric gates open onto the driveway which provides ample off-road parking and adjoins the concrete stable yard, consisting of five stables, a hay barn, and a workshop. The delightful paved terrace is ideal for outside entertaining and boasts a working fountain. Adjoining the terrace is a lawn with an ornamental fishpond. Adjoining the more formal gardens, there is an area of orchard planted with apple, pear, plum, and peach trees.

The 61-year-old TV star was sacked from MasterChef, which he hosted alongside John Torode, following claims of misconduct. Out of the 83 complaints made against the presenter, 45 were upheld. The presenter insisted he was cleared of "the most serious and sensational allegations" but said he was "deeply sorry for any distress caused" and had "never set out to harm or humiliate". The majority of the substantiated claims related to inappropriate sexual language, but also culturally insensitive or racist comments. An independent inquiry was ordered by MasterChef's production company Banijay in the wake of a BBC News investigation that first revealed claims of inappropriate sexual comments in November 2024.
