LV Shipping Expands Teesside Base with 25,000sqft South Tyneside Growth
LV Shipping expands regional presence at Monkton Business Park

Century-Old Logistics Firm Expands Regional Footprint

LV Shipping, a logistics specialist with a heritage spanning more than 100 years, has significantly bolstered its presence in the North East by securing additional commercial space at Infinity Park, located within Monkton Business Park in South Tyneside. The company, which has its headquarters in Middlesbrough, has expanded from its existing Unit 18 to take on the neighbouring Unit 19, increasing its total operational footprint on the park to an impressive 25,000 square feet.

Strategic Move to Support Business Growth

The expansion, finalised in November 2025, is a direct response to the company's continued growth and the rising demand for its services. By increasing its capacity at the Hebburn-based business park, LV Shipping strengthens its regional base and gains the necessary space to handle new contracts and expand its storage capabilities. The business park itself is a key location for the local authority, hosting major occupiers such as Siemens, Ford Component Manufacturing, and Kier.

Lee Woolams, Managing Director of LV Shipping, commented on the swift decision: “Once we learned about the opportunity at Monkton Business Park, we moved quickly. The Newcastle team love their current base and the timing worked well as they continue to grow. The strong relationships between both parties have helped deliver a smooth and efficient transition.”

Meeting Demand for Quality Industrial Space

This move occurs amidst sustained demand for modern logistics and industrial space across the North East, a region renowned as a hub for advanced manufacturing, offshore energy, and international trade. The expansion underscores the vitality of the local commercial property market. Gavin Cordwell-Smith, Chief Executive of Hellens Group, which owns and manages the park, said: “It is fantastic to see LV Shipping increase their presence at Infinity Park. Our development was designed to provide modern, flexible space for ambitious companies, and LV Shipping’s expansion demonstrates the strength of demand for quality industrial accommodation in this part of the North East.”

With a global network of offices across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas, LV Shipping will continue to manage its comprehensive range of freight forwarding, warehousing, and logistics services from its Teesside head office, now with enhanced regional capacity.
