Supermarket giant Aldi has sent a jolt of festive surprise through the UK by launching what it claims is the world's first lickable Christmas wrapping paper.
This unconventional creation is designed to bring a fun and tasty twist to the tradition of gift-wrapping and is directly inspired by the grocer's own award-winning Specially Selected Double Wrapped Pigs in Blankets.
A Truly Unique Festive Experience
Aldi describes the paper as offering a truly unique, lickable experience that perfectly captures the smoky, savoury flavour and aroma of the beloved festive sausage and bacon treat.
Rather than the entire sheet being edible, the innovative design features special stickers that can be peeled back to reveal the flavoured, lickable sections.
The company also highlights that the paper boasts a charming pastel pink design, adorned with festive holly and snowflake patterns, ensuring the presents look as good as they... might taste.
How To Get Your Hands On It
For customers intrigued enough to give it a try, acting quickly is essential. The wrapping paper is not available for general sale.
Instead, it is being offered through an exclusive shopper competition that launched on November 24.
To enter the competition and have a chance to claim the paper, individuals simply need to send an email to wrappingpaper@aldi.co.uk with their full name.
