Asda is delivering a welcome financial boost to motorists across the UK this festive season with a new fuel discount initiative. The supermarket giant has announced a promotion that will help drivers save money at the pump throughout December.
How the Asda Fuel Discount Works
From 1 December to 31 December, drivers who spend £15 or more on groceries at any of the nearly 500 Asda Express stores nationwide will receive 3p off per litre of fuel purchased during the same transaction. To claim the discount, customers simply need to complete their £15 shop inside the Express store before proceeding to pay for both their shopping and fuel at the checkout.
Unbeatable Value on Everyday Essentials
Asda Express stores already guarantee to match the prices of larger Asda supermarkets on key everyday items. This includes staples such as bread, milk, chicken fillets, beef mince, cheese, and a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables.
In addition to these price-matched essentials, the Express format offers its own exclusive deals. Shoppers can take advantage of promotions like 2 for £6 on Ready Meals and Pizza, a 3 for £5 offer on Bread, Pasta & Sauce, and a competitively priced Premium Meal Deal for just £4.92. The stores are also running a 3 for 2 promotion on RTD drinks and wine minis.
A Festive Helping Hand for Customers
Joseph Sutton, Vice President of Asda Express, foodservice and fuel, commented on the initiative, stating: "We know every penny matters for our customers. This offer gives people a little extra help - letting them save on fuel while offering unbeatable value as they stock up on everyday essentials or festive treats in the run-up to Christmas."
This customer-focused promotion coincides with Asda's significant expansion of its convenience store network. The retailer recently confirmed plans to launch up to 20 new Express stores before the end of the year. The most recent opening occurred in Liverpool on Wednesday, marking Asda's first store within the city centre itself.
