A shopper from the Black Country has described scenes of 'panic' and 'disgusting' behaviour at a B&M store during the busy Christmas shopping period.
Chaotic Scenes in the Festive Rush
The customer reported visiting a B&M store one evening and witnessing what they called 'ridiculously busy' conditions. They said shoppers were 'panicking all over materialistic things', creating an atmosphere of chaos in the run-up to Christmas.
The observer was particularly critical of how fellow customers treated retail staff, blasting the 'negative attitudes' and abuse directed at employees simply trying to do their jobs.
Confrontation Over Returns Policy
One specific incident highlighted the tension. While waiting to return an item, the shopper witnessed another customer, described as giving 'attitude', become aggressive when told he was outside the store's return window.
Instead of accepting the policy, the individual 'started giving attitude to the cashier', subjecting the staff member to unnecessary hostility over a clearly stated rule.
A Plea for Respect and Common Sense
The shopper took to social media to defend retail workers, stating they 'do not deserve to be treated like this from stupid idiots who act like the world is coming to an end'.
They emphasised that Christmas 'is about the time spent together' and criticised those who 'act like animals' despite the holiday falling on the same date every year. Their final message was a simple plea: 'Grow up and respect others'.
