Dobbies Shropshire Unveils Major Christmas Makeover as 7th Store Upgraded
Dobbies Shropshire gets major Christmas makeover

Dobbies Garden Centre in Shropshire has unveiled a significant transformation, completing a major refurbishment at its Moreton Park branch just in time for the festive season. The extensive upgrade, which includes a brand-new coffee shop and an expanded restaurant, forms part of a national programme that has now revitalised seven stores across the UK in 2025.

A Fresh Look for Festive Shoppers

The West Midlands branch has been thoroughly refreshed to enhance the customer experience. A key addition is a large new coffee shop situated on the mezzanine level, offering visitors a fresh spot to relax. Meanwhile, the venue's restaurant has been completely refurbished and expanded, now serving a full menu all day long.

Families have not been forgotten in the redesign. The children's play area has been revamped to include a new, separate space that provides more seating and room for families to enjoy their visit comfortably.

Expanded Retail Offer for Christmas and Beyond

The upgrade extends beyond food and drink, with substantial improvements to the retail offering. The clothing department has seen an expansion, welcoming new brands to its lineup. Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Regatta have joined existing fashion labels such as Mountain Warehouse, Klass, Weird Fish, and Pavers.

For gardening enthusiasts, the range has also been enhanced. Shoppers can now find an extensive selection of the company's own-brand products, including tools, growhouses, garden power equipment, and storage solutions all available on-site.

Santa's Arrival and National Refurbishment Drive

The timing of the makeover is perfect for the festive period. The store will host a Santa experience, Santa Paws events, and Santa’s breakfast this Christmas, adding to the new atmosphere.

General Manager Jim Noble expressed his enthusiasm, stating: “The store has been completely refreshed and feels like a whole new shopping experience. With exciting new ranges and the addition of a brand-new coffee shop, it’s looking absolutely fantastic.”

Dobbies CEO David Robinson highlighted the broader context of the investment: “This year, we’ve focused on upgrading our stores, and Moreton Park is the seventh to be relaunched in 2025. It’s been encouraging to see how the improvements we’ve made across our store estate, both in product range and customer experience, are resonating with our customers. We’re committed to delivering our best ever Christmas, building on the strong results we achieved in spring.”

The Moreton Park refurbishment marks the seventh Dobbies store to be upgraded this year. Other locations that have undergone similar transformations include branches in Brighton, Cadnam, Hungerford, Beaconsfield, Bury St Edmunds, and Royston.
