McDonald's axes 11 menu items including Fish Fingers Happy Meal
McDonald's removes 11 menu items including classic

McDonald's is set for a significant menu overhaul across its UK restaurants, removing eleven popular items to create space for its festive offerings.

The changes take effect from Wednesday, November 26, 2025, marking the end for several limited-edition products and one long-standing family favourite.

What's Leaving the McDonald's Menu

The most notable departure is the Fish Fingers Happy Meal, a children's staple that has been on the menu for years and holds nostalgic value for many Britons.

It is not the only casualty, however. The entire 'World Menu Heist' limited-edition selection is being discontinued. This includes:

  • The controversial Pineapple McSpicy
  • The much-loved Garlic & Pepper McNuggets
  • The sweet Sakura Sprite
  • The Maple BBQ Double Quarter Pounder
  • Mac N Cheese Triangles
  • Sour Cream and Black Pepper Shaker Fries

Dessert lovers will also face disappointment as the Chocolate Pretzel McFlurry, Caramel Pretzel McFlurry, and Choco Caramel Pie are all being removed. The drinks selection will see the Apple X Sprite and the Honeycomb Latte axed.

A Festive Replacement: The Grinch Menu Arrives

While fans may mourn these losses, McDonald's is launching an extensive Christmas menu on November 26 to fill the gap. The new range has a distinct Grinch theme, capitalising on the festive season.

The centrepiece is The Grinch Meal, which can be chosen as a Big Mac, nine Chicken McNuggets, or a McPlant meal. It comes with the new Grinched McShaker Fries, described as perfect for pickle lovers, a drink, and a pair of limited-edition mismatched Grinch and McDonald's socks.

For those not taken with the green character, the Cheesy Chicken Stack is also making a return.

New Treats and Returning Favourites

The festive drinks lineup introduces Frozen Grinch Lemonade and a Coconut Latte, alongside a hot chocolate version of the coconut treat.

Two new McFlurry varieties will be available: the Mischief McFlurry, made with ice cream, Smarties, Christmas trees, and strawberry sauce, and the Chocolate Brownie McFlurry, featuring brownie cookie pieces and a chocolate sauce drizzle.

Completing the sweet offerings is the Grumble Pie, a green pastry filled with apple, cranberry, and custard. Furthermore, McDonald's is bringing back the Cheese Melt Dippers and the Big Tasty for a limited time.

This seasonal shift demonstrates McDonald's strategy of rotating its menu to create buzz and align with calendar events, ensuring there is always something new for customers to try.
