Birmingham City midfielder Marc Leonard is attracting attention ahead of a pivotal summer in his career. The 24-year-old was loaned to Hearts in January and is playing an instrumental role in their charge towards a first Scottish Premiership title since 1960.
Hearts are three points clear of Celtic at the top of the table with only three games remaining. Leonard has started 12 games for Hearts, missing only one due to a controversial red card against Livingston. He stands on the cusp of winning back-to-back league titles after helping Birmingham City win League One last season.
Leonard's success in Scotland is good news for Birmingham City, and a decision on his future will be made once his loan at Tynecastle concludes. A route back into the fold under manager Chris Davies is not straightforward, which means Leonard could depart St Andrew's on a permanent basis.
Wilder's Interest
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is a long-term admirer of Leonard and watched the Glaswegian play on Monday. Wilder was seated alongside Scotland boss Steve Clarke at Tynecastle as Leonard played a starring role in a 2-1 victory over Rangers.
The Blades are set to revamp their squad in the summer after a 13th-placed finish in the Championship and have already lost a midfielder in Tom Davies. Leonard could be a target to strengthen their midfield options.
