HONOR Advances AI Vision with Robotic Innovations at MWC 2026
At the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, HONOR made significant strides in its Augmented Human Intelligence vision, unveiling a futuristic Robot Phone and its first-ever humanoid robot. CEO James Li highlighted these developments as part of the company's ALPHA PLAN, which focuses on integrating AI into everyday technology through three key pillars: Alpha Phone, Alpha Store, and Alpha Lab.
A New Species of Smartphone: The Robot Phone
The HONOR Robot Phone represents a revolutionary step in smartphone design, combining embodied AI interaction with robot-grade motion capabilities. Unlike traditional devices, this phone features multimodal perception, allowing it to identify sounds, track motion, and maintain visual awareness for more natural interactions.
It supports all-angle AI video calling that follows users through motion control and responds with emotional body language, such as nods and head shakes. By applying foldable technology engineering, HONOR created an ultra-compact gimbal system, enabling smooth and precise motion even in dynamic environments.
This innovation aims to bridge the gap between smartphone video and professional storytelling, offering features like Super Steady Video mode and AI Object Tracking to enhance creative control.
Magic V6: Redefining Foldable Innovation
Alongside the Robot Phone, HONOR introduced the Magic V6, a flagship foldable device that sets new benchmarks in durability and performance. With an ultra-thin 8.75mm closed profile and advanced hinge architecture, it offers enhanced water and dust resistance.
The device incorporates next-generation silicon-carbon battery technology, achieving a 25% silicon content for higher energy density in a slim design. This results in a 6,660mAh battery, one of the largest in the thinnest foldables on the market.
Its dual displays feature reduced crease depth and adaptive refresh rates, while AI-enhanced productivity tools optimize multitasking and cross-ecosystem compatibility, including seamless integration with Apple devices.
Expanding the AI Ecosystem
HONOR also launched the MagicPad 4 and MagicBook Pro 14 to strengthen its AI-powered portfolio. The MagicPad 4, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, offers a 4.8mm ultra-slim design with a 3K OLED display for fluid productivity.
The MagicBook Pro 14, equipped with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 Processors, provides a colour-accurate OLED display and class-leading battery performance in a lightweight design. Both devices support cross-device collaboration, enhancing flexibility across platforms.
Humanoid Robot and Future Directions
In a strategic move, HONOR unveiled its first humanoid robot, focusing on scenarios like shopping assistance, workplace inspections, and supportive companionship. Leveraging expertise from its smartphone ecosystem, HONOR aims to create personalized physical assistance through embodied AI.
These announcements demonstrate HONOR's commitment to integrating intelligence across hardware and software, from digital experiences to physical interactions. The company continues to drive innovation in the AI era, with products designed to meet real human needs.
Availability and Pricing Details
The HONOR Magic V6 will be available in select markets later this year, with specific configurations and pricing to be announced locally. Pre-orders for the MagicPad 4 have started, with retail availability beginning on March 3, 2026, priced from £599.99 for the 12GB RAM version and £699.99 for the 16GB RAM model.
