HONOR Advances AI Vision with Robot Phone and Humanoid Robot at MWC 2026

At the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, HONOR CEO James Li unveiled a series of robotic innovations, including the HONOR Robot Phone and the company's first-ever humanoid robot. This announcement marks a significant expansion of HONOR's AI device ecosystem, reinforcing its commitment to human-centric artificial intelligence.

Expanding the AI Ecosystem with Alpha Plan

HONOR is advancing its Augmented Human Intelligence vision through the 'ALPHA PLAN', which focuses on three connected pillars: Alpha Phone, Alpha Store, and Alpha Lab. These initiatives aim to integrate intelligent hardware and software around real human needs, exploring new paradigms in AI devices and silicon-carbon civilization.

James Li stated, "With Human-centric as our lighthouse, we navigate the growth of AI through the two beams of IQ and EQ, bringing three forms of intelligence together. We are exploring the new paradigm of AI devices with Alpha Phone; hosting the new paradigm of AI ecosystem with Alpha Store; and building the new paradigm of a silicon-carbon civilisation with Alpha Lab."

Introducing the Robot Phone: A New Species of Smartphone

The HONOR Robot Phone represents a revolutionary step in smartphone technology, combining embodied AI interaction with robot-grade motion and cinematic imaging capabilities. Unlike traditional devices, it incorporates physical movement, allowing for more expressive interactions through motion control and camera adjustments.

This innovation features multimodal perception, enabling it to identify sounds, track motion, and maintain visual awareness. It supports all-angle AI video calling that follows users and responds with emotional body language, such as nods and head shakes, even dancing to music for a lifelike experience.

To achieve this, HONOR applied foldable engineering knowledge to create an ultra-compact gimbal system, reducing motor size for smooth and precise motion. Key functionalities include Super Steady Video mode for stability, AI Object Tracking for real-time subject following, and AI SpinShot for creative control, aiming to bridge the gap between smartphone video and professional storytelling.

Magic V6: Setting a New Benchmark in Foldable Innovation

Alongside the Robot Phone, HONOR introduced the Magic V6, a flagship foldable device that combines durability, performance, and intelligent productivity. With an ultra-thin 8.75mm closed profile and advanced hinge architecture, it offers enhanced water and dust resistance for everyday reliability.

The Magic V6 integrates next-generation silicon-carbon battery technology, achieving an industry-first 25% silicon content for higher energy density in a slim design. This results in a 6,660mAh battery, one of the largest in thin foldables, supported by the new HONOR Silicon-carbon Blade Battery for future advancements.

Display innovations include dual flagship screens with adaptive refresh rates and a 44% reduction in crease depth for a flatter, immersive experience. AI-enhanced productivity features optimize multitasking and content creation, with cross-ecosystem tools ensuring seamless compatibility, including with Apple's ecosystem.

Extending the AI Portfolio with Ecosystem Devices

HONOR also launched the MagicPad 4 and MagicBook Pro 14 to complement its AI-powered lineup. The MagicPad 4, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, features a 4.8mm ultra-slim design with a 3K OLED display for fluid productivity. The MagicBook Pro 14, driven by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 Processors, offers a colour-accurate OLED display and intelligent performance management in a lightweight form.

Both devices support cross-device collaboration, enhancing flexibility across multi-platform environments.

Humanoid Robot and Future Directions

In a strategic move, HONOR unveiled its first humanoid robot, focusing on scenarios like shopping assistance, workplace inspections, and supportive companionship. Leveraging expertise from mobile technology, this robot aims to provide personalised physical assistance by recognising users and understanding their needs from the first interaction.
