Human Appeal, a leading global humanitarian organization, has launched an extensive series of Grand Iftar events during the current Ramadan season, delivering a remarkable total of 250,302 nutritious meals to vulnerable populations across seven nations grappling with conflict, displacement, and severe poverty.
Global Reach of Humanitarian Effort
The large-scale Grand Iftar initiatives are actively ongoing in Gaza and Syria, with successful completions already recorded in Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. These events provide complete hot meals alongside secure communal areas where families can gather to break their fast with dignity and solidarity.
Country-Specific Impact and Priorities
In Sudan alone, seven separate Grand Iftar gatherings have been organized, reaching nearly 31,000 beneficiaries. Meanwhile, in Gaza, over 12,000 internally displaced individuals are benefiting from a major communal Iftar event. Families residing in overcrowded displacement sites with severely limited access to food, fuel, clean water, and electricity are receiving freshly prepared hot meals in safe, organized environments.
Priority for meal distribution is being given to women-headed households, children, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities, ensuring the most vulnerable receive essential support during the holy month.

Across many of the targeted regions, food insecurity has reached alarmingly critical levels. Persistent conflict, economic instability, and severely disrupted supply chains have left countless families unable to afford or prepare even basic Iftar meals.
