Rock Choir Raises £2,000 for Alzheimer Scotland

Rock Choir, the world's largest contemporary choir experience, has raised £2,000 for Alzheimer Scotland. One hundred and sixty Rockies performed two back-to-back summer shows for the charity at the Cottiers Theatre in Glasgow on Sunday, June 7, delivering a selection of uplifting and feel-good songs from the Rock Choir repertoire.

Performance Highlights

The set was full of hits from the decades, including songs such as ‘I’ll Be There For You’, ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’, and ‘Someone You Loved.’ The afternoon and evening performances featured Rock Choir Members from Bothwell, Bearsden, Glasgow City Centre and Largs.

Leader's Tribute

Rock Choir Leader Jennifer Scouller said: “Our Rockies really loved the event, and it made all their hard work worthwhile. We had wonderful audiences over the two shows, with so many friends and family cheering us all on. They were hugely generous in supporting Alzheimer Scotland - thank you to everyone who donated. My mum, Wilma, has Alzheimer’s, and so many people are affected by the disease, so we thought it was important to support the charity.”
