Sanctus Homeless Charity Launches Spring Supper Club Fundraiser in Chelmsford
Sanctus Spring Supper Club Fundraiser in Chelmsford

This spring, Sanctus Homeless Charity in Chelmsford is inviting the community to participate in their Supper Club Fundraiser. Anyone can get involved, whether by hosting a meal with friends and family, an afternoon tea, or asking colleagues to bring dishes for a shared lunch. Simply choose a date, invite guests, and request donations.

Dee Shadforth, events and partnerships coordinator, said: “We are excited to be launching this fundraiser as food is a great way to bring people together. For every £10 raised, Sanctus can provide hot meals for three people in need.”

Sanctus has been supporting homeless and vulnerable individuals in the Chelmsford area for over 14 years. Their café on Broomfield Road serves between 65 and 85 hot meals daily, and also offers food, clothing, and essential items such as sleeping bags and tents. Their Support Hub provides advice on debt, housing, benefits, mental and physical health, domestic abuse, and addiction.

Last year, Sanctus supported more than 750 individuals from across Essex, provided over 20,000 meals, and delivered more than 3,000 one-to-one support sessions, any of which could be a moment that changes or saves a life.
