West Midlands Police have launched an appeal for information after a hit-and-run in Solihull left a pedestrian with serious injuries. The incident occurred on Sunday, 26 March, at around 8:30pm on Stratford Road, near the junction with Haslucks Green Road.
What Happened
The victim, a man in his 50s, was crossing the road when he was struck by a dark-coloured car. The driver failed to stop at the scene and fled in the direction of Birmingham. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries, including a broken leg and internal bleeding. He remains in a stable condition.
Police Appeal
West Midlands Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward. Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes said: 'This was a reckless act by a driver who left a man with serious injuries without a second thought. We are determined to find the driver and bring them to justice.'
