Appeal to Trace Woman's Final Movements
Detectives are now working to identify the woman and piece together her final movements. She is described as:
- White, aged between 60 and 70.
- Petite build with short, curly brown or copper hair.
She was wearing a cream cardigan, a blue top, white jeans, and white boots. She may also have been carrying a pink coat, a torch, and an umbrella.

Ongoing Investigation
The force has emphasised that while the death remains unexplained, the initial assessment does not indicate foul play. Officers are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances leading to the tragic discovery on the first morning of the new year.
The appeal highlights the importance of community assistance in helping authorities understand what happened to the woman, who has yet to be formally identified.
