Burntwood Murder Probe After Man Dies in Home Fight

A murder investigation has been launched in Burntwood after a man died following a reported fight at a residential property in Hazel Grove, near Lichfield. Police were called to the scene on Tuesday, May 5, following reports of two men fighting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with serious injuries. Despite the efforts of West Midlands Ambulance Service, including the Midlands Air Ambulance, who provided advanced life support, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arrests Made

Staffordshire Police have arrested two men, aged 32 and 37, and a 33-year-old woman on suspicion of murder. A police cordon remains in place at the address as forensic investigations continue.

Dog Also Injured

During the incident, a dog was found inside the property with stab wounds. It has been taken to a vet for treatment. The condition of the dog is not yet known.
