Pub Bans Dogs During Heatwave, Customers Warned

The Crafty Pint, a pub in Halesowen, has issued a firm warning that customers bringing dogs during the current heatwave will be refused entry. With temperatures forecast to reach 36°C this week, the pub updated its previous polite request to a definitive ban.

Previous Policy and Update

Earlier, The Crafty Pint had posted on social media: 'We love welcoming your dogs to the pub. But on these really hot days, it's just too warm for them to be out safely, even in the shade with water. Dogs can overheat quickly, and we want them happy, healthy and wagging their tails all summer long. As you know, our pub garden is very 'unique' and gets very hot for dogs on the pavement. Please have this in mind when deciding if it's worth bringing them along for your next Crafty trip. Thanks for understanding and keeping your pups safe.'

Following that, the pub updated its policy with a blunt statement: 'During this heatwave, DO NOT bring your dogs to the pub. You will be refused entry.'
