Stephen Peek, a 61-year-old grandfather from Birmingham, has died following a single-vehicle collision on Monday, June 22. The incident occurred on Mackadown Lane, near the junction of St Giles Road, Tile Cross, at approximately 5:55 am. Peek sustained serious injuries and later died in hospital.
Family tribute to a 'kind' and 'caring' man
In a heartfelt statement, Peek's family described him as the "kindest, most caring man you could ever meet." They expressed their grief, saying: "We lost our dad, husband, grandad and best friend. Our hearts are completely broken. He always had time for people, always took others under his wing, and would help anyone who needed it. He touched so many lives without ever asking for anything in return."
Peek had 47 years of riding experience and was passionate about motorbikes. The family noted: "He loved being on his bike and often said that if he ever had to go, it would be doing what he loved most." He leaves behind his wife, son, daughter, and grandchildren.
