A two-vehicle collision on College Road in Kingstanding resulted in a van overturning, leaving two men injured. The incident occurred at approximately 4:28 PM on Tuesday, June 23, blocking the road for several hours as emergency services responded.
Details of the Collision
West Midlands Police described the event as an ambulance-led job, with officers providing support at the scene. Fire crews also attended. The drivers of both vehicles, both men, were treated at the scene by paramedics for injuries not believed to be serious before being transported to Midlands Metropolitan University Hospital for further care.
Emergency Response and Traffic Disruption
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service stated: "We were called to reports of a two vehicle RTC on College Road, Kingstanding at 4.28pm (Tuesday). Two ambulances attended the scene. The drivers of both vehicles, two men, were given treatment on scene for injuries not believed to be serious. Both were conveyed to Midlands Metropolitan University Hospital for further care."
Bus services in the area were diverted while the road remained closed for several hours to allow for investigation and recovery of the vehicles.
