A new attraction called The University Heritage Discovery Zone has been specially planned for this event. This interactive zone will take visitors on a journey from the origins of life on Earth through cutting-edge space research, while also exploring ancient diet and medicine practices and offering life-saving skills training.
Leadership Perspective
Professor Sarah Scott, Heritage Hub Director, expressed her enthusiasm for the event: "Our Celebration of Heritage brings together an exceptional network of partners, volunteers, students and colleagues. We are delighted to welcome visitors to our campus for an afternoon of discovery, with engaging displays and hands-on activities for all ages."
She continued: "The event will showcase an incredible range of research and creativity from across our city and region, including living history and traditional craft demonstrations, and research spanning the origins of life on earth to space flight. We would like to extend a huge thanks to the organizations and teams who are supporting the event and hope you will join us to celebrate our region's heritage."
