Man charged with 33 vehicle thefts appears in court

A man has appeared in court in connection with a spate of vehicle thefts across Birmingham. Darren Sullivan, aged 48, was arrested at a property in Highfields Road, Birmingham, on Thursday, May 14, on suspicion of interfering with a vehicle on Pierce Avenue in Solihull at around 3am the previous day.

Charges and Court Appearance

Sullivan has been charged with 33 offences, including theft of a vehicle, theft from a vehicle, and interfering with a vehicle, committed between March and May this year. He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Saturday and has been remanded in custody until his next appearance on May 21.

Police Statement

West Midlands Police confirmed: "The man in his 40s was arrested on Thursday at a property in Highfields Road, Birmingham, on suspicion of interfering with a vehicle on Pierce Avenue, Solihull, at around 3am on Wednesday." The force added that Sullivan has been charged with multiple offences and remains in custody.
