Allison Homes South West Partners with Landkey Primary School for Road Safety Initiative
Allison Homes South West has teamed up with Landkey Primary School to support this year's Beep Beep Day, a national road safety campaign. The partnership aims to educate young pupils about road safety through engaging activities, with Allison Homes donating high-visibility vests to ensure children remain visible and safe during the event.
Beep Beep Day: A Fun Approach to Road Safety Education
Organised by the road safety charity Brake, Beep Beep Day took place on March 18 and encourages schools and nurseries across the UK to teach essential road safety skills to young children in an interactive manner. The donation from Allison Homes includes a set of high-visibility vests for use by pupils at Landkey Primary School, helping to reinforce safety messages in a practical way.
Supporting Community Development and Educational Enhancement
This initiative is part of Allison Homes South West's broader commitment to supporting the communities where it operates. In addition to the Beep Beep Day contribution, the company is providing building materials to assist the school in developing a new early years outdoor learning area. Once completed, this space will offer students a safe and stimulating environment for learning and play.
Positive Feedback from School and Builder Representatives
Mrs Austen from Landkey Primary School expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating: "It is a fantastic opportunity to help children learn important road safety messages from a young age. The high-vis vests donated by Allison Homes will help keep pupils safe when out and about on school trips. We’re also excited to receive the housebuilder’s support for our new early years outdoor learning area, which will help us create an engaging space for our youngest pupils to learn and explore."
David Hnyda, sales director at Allison Homes South West, added: "Supporting the communities where we build is incredibly important to us. We were delighted to be able to help Landkey Primary School pupils learn about road safety in a practical way. We are also pleased to be supporting the school’s plans to improve its early years outdoor learning area by donating materials to help bring the project to life. We hope both initiatives will continue to benefit pupils and the wider school community in years to come."
The activities are centered in Barnstaple, Devon, highlighting local engagement and community-focused efforts.
