Her gentle presence, unwavering kindness, and nurturing nature left an indelible mark on countless patients and colleagues. She approached her work with a heartfelt commitment, making the hospital a warmer place for all who encountered her.
Music at the Heart of Her Soul
Music was the cornerstone of Doreen's existence. She accompanied the church junior choir under the leadership of David Lloyd and was deeply involved in church activities, spending countless joyful hours in worship and fellowship.
Alongside her dear friend Sheila Walsh, Doreen generously gave her time to teach at Sunday School, where she was adored by generations of children. Her musical talents also extended to the Victorians concert party, where she played the keyboard at local care homes, bringing immense joy to residents with her warmth and smile.
A Devoted Family Woman
Family was everything to Doreen. She cherished moments spent with her sister Sadie, exploring places and creating treasured memories together. As a devoted wife to her late husband Len, a much-loved mum to Keith and Alison, daughter-in-law Helen, and son-in-law Mark, she embodied unconditional love. Doreen was a proud and loving grandma to Joshua, Charlotte, and Aaron, and a cherished great grandma to Rona, Noa, and Eli.
