Holly Hagan's 'rainbow' pregnancy after sister's death

Reality television personality Holly Hagan has shared deeply emotional news, confirming she is expecting her second child just weeks after the tragic death of her younger sister.

The 33-year-old Geordie Shore star revealed her pregnancy in a moving Instagram post, describing the baby as a 'rainbow amongst the storm' following the devastating loss of her 19-year-old sister, Darci Rose, last month.

A Cherished Final Conversation

In a poignant tribute to her sister, Holly disclosed that she was able to share her pregnancy news with Darci before her passing. She posted a video containing screenshots of their final WhatsApp exchange, which she said she will 'cherish forever'.

Upon learning she was to become an aunt again, Darci's heartfelt response read: 'I’m so happy for you, that made me want to cry. I did not expect that at all … you’re the best mummy to [AJ] already. They are both going to be so lucky. Love you.'

A Family Navigating Grief

Holly previously announced her sister's death in October, stating that Darci had 'passed away peacefully' while holding her hand, surrounded by family and friends at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

She paid tribute to Darci's role as an aunt to her young son, Alpha-Jax, recalling: 'She was the best aunty, Alpha-Jax adored her. She spent his whole birthday on the bouncy castle with AJ and Alba, and that’s a memory I’ll cherish forever.'

In a recent video update, Holly emotionally described the profound impact of her sister's death: 'It is and has been the toughest four weeks of our entire life. I actually just don’t know how to process this whole situation, and neither do my parents.'

Greater Manchester Police confirmed in a statement that Darci had 'fallen seriously ill' after reportedly taking drugs.

Support and Congratulations

Holly's pregnancy announcement was met with an outpouring of support from her Geordie Shore co-stars and fans.

Sophie Kasaei responded: 'My darling girl...Amongst the heartbreak you’ve been through this is your angel and the best gift you could have ever been given. Adore you and your family so much forever.'

Nathan Henry added: 'This is just the most precious news. I’m so happy for both. And I’m so happy for you that Darci got to be apart of your new journey. Love you and congratulations.'

The reality star, married to professional footballer Jacob Blyth, captured the moment she saw her positive pregnancy test and shared the news with her parents and husband in her emotional video announcement.

Holly confirmed that Baby Blyth number two is due in May 2026, bringing a beacon of hope to her family during their time of immense grief.
