Kelly Brook's husband Jeremy Parisi has spoken out for the first time after watching his wife break down in tears during an emotional scene on I'm A Celebrity.
Heartbreaking Jungle Moment
The 45-year-old model became visibly upset during Wednesday night's episode after receiving a photograph of her husband Jeremy and their dog Teddy. The emotional moment touched viewers and prompted an immediate response from her concerned partner.
Jeremy Parisi told the Mirror that seeing his wife tear up was "really tough to watch" and expressed his wish to have been there to comfort her during her distress. The French-born businessman admitted that while he knew the distance would be challenging, the reality has proven more difficult than anticipated.
"We spend most of our time together so I knew the distance would be hard but it's definitely tougher than I could have ever imagined," Jeremy confessed, highlighting the close nature of their relationship.
Coping With Separation
Interestingly, before entering the Australian jungle, Kelly had expressed more concern about how Jeremy and Teddy would manage without her than about her own wellbeing. Jeremy has now confirmed that the separation has indeed been challenging for both him and their pet.
"It's been hard but Teddy and I are watching every night which has been a real comfort as we feel a bit closer with her back in our living room just on the TV and not next to us on the sofa," he shared, revealing their nightly viewing routine provides some solace.
The couple will face another emotional milestone this weekend as Kelly celebrates her 46th birthday while still in camp. Jeremy admitted that not being together for this special occasion will "feel strange for us all."
Reunion Plans and Body Positivity Support
There is light at the end of the tunnel for the separated couple, as Jeremy plans to travel to Australia to welcome Kelly when she exits the jungle. He will be waiting at the end of the famous bridge to greet her when her jungle journey concludes.
Jeremy also took the opportunity to praise his wife's growing confidence in camp and address recent body-shaming comments directed at Kelly. After the model received vicious trolling about her figure upon arriving in Brisbane, Jeremy firmly defended her appearance.
"She is so beautiful... and looks fantastic on the TV," he stated, adding that "she seems to be settling into camp life more and more with each episode I watch, she's doing so brilliantly, I'm beyond proud."
Kelly had previously spoken out about body acceptance, telling fans: "Obviously, I am not a 20-year-old bikini model anymore. Life changes and your body changes. And I just hope people are accepting of me and how I look now."
The model's decision to join I'm A Celebrity was partly motivated by her desire to become more independent after realising she relied too heavily on Jeremy. Following their appearance together on Race Across The World, Kelly felt the jungle experience would help her test her own capabilities.
The couple, who met through social media and married in 2022, have arranged for Jeremy's mother to stay with him during Kelly's absence, acknowledging his Italian heritage and close family bonds.
