Love Island star Lauren Wood has publicly addressed the end of her relationship with Harrison Solomon for the first time, following rumours he has moved on with fellow islander Samie Elishi.
Dubai Sighting Sparks Romance Rumours
Just two weeks after Lauren and Harrison announced their separation to the public, Harrison was spotted getting close to series nine contestant Samie Elishi at a bar in Dubai. An eyewitness described the pair as being "oblivious to other revellers" and looking "really into each other".
The source suggested the chemistry was undeniable, stating: "Now we know why Harrison gave poor Lauren the elbow so quickly. They didn’t take their eyes off each other" during what appeared to be a secret date.
Lauren's First Public Statement
Speaking to reporters on the red carpet at The Beauty Awards 2025, the 26-year-old fitness influencer shared her feelings about the sudden split and Harrison's swift reappearance in the dating world.
Lauren confirmed it is too soon for her to consider dating again, telling the press: "It’s only been a couple of weeks [that I’ve been single], I’m just focusing on myself."
She described the split as amicable, explaining: "I think right now we’ve gone our separate ways, we’re still friends, we’re mutual but we’re both on our own journeys." Despite the circumstances, she reflected fondly on their time together, adding: "Of course it’s obviously sad, we came out of the experience together. It’s such a surreal experience and we had each other through it but I’m grateful for the memories."
Future Possibilities and All Stars Concerns
When asked about a potential reconciliation, Lauren did not completely shut down the idea. She remains philosophical about what the future may hold, saying: "Who knows what will happen in the future, what is meant to be will be, I’m a firm believer in that."
However, she expressed clear concern about rumours that Harrison might be considering Love Island All Stars 2026. Lauren admitted she would be "gutted" to see him return to the show, stating: "It’s never nice to see anyone that you love on another TV show."
Despite this, she acknowledged his single status means "it’s up to him what he does with his life," though she conceded "it would never be nice to see another person that they like be on TV."
As for her own reality TV future, Lauren confirmed she "definitely" wouldn't be returning to Love Island, preferring to concentrate on growing her career and personal brand following the very public breakup.
