Midlands 'Lip King' Jordan James Parkes Remembered as a 'Legend' with a Caring Heart
The beauty community and friends are mourning the loss of Jordan James Parkes, the self-proclaimed 'Lip King' from Dudley, who passed away on February 18, as announced by his family. Tributes have flooded in, celebrating his life and legacy, though the circumstances surrounding his death remain private.
A Life of Glamour and Controversy
Jordan first gained public attention for his obsession with cosmetic surgery, inspired by Kim Kardashian, spending an estimated £100,000 on procedures like lip, cheek, and chin fillers. He appeared on TV shows such as ITV's This Morning and Channel 4's Bodyshockers, and later on the US reality series Botched twice. His career as an 'advanced practitioner and trainer' was highlighted on his The Lip King Aesthetics Instagram page.
However, his life was not without controversy. In 2024, he was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of mum-of-five Alice Webb, who died after a liquid Brazilian butt lift (BBL) procedure. He was later bailed and, as of December 2025, had not been charged.
Heartfelt Tributes from Friends
Friends have shared emotional messages, remembering Jordan as a vibrant and caring individual. One tribute read: "You were my friend, but more than that you were like family. We love you so much, and I don’t think you ever truly understood just how much you meant to all of us. You were the kind of person who could light up a whole room without even trying."
Another friend added: "Will miss our lovely crazy and funny convos. You was a legend the most fabulous friend I’ve ever had. So, so sad, love you always." A third tribute highlighted his roots and passion: "Jord you was a real laugh, never forgot your Black Country roots and had passion for your career. Slay high in the sky bab."
Legacy of Kindness and Laughter
Many tributes emphasized Jordan's kind heart and ability to bring joy. One friend wrote: "You made us cry with laughter and always made us feel better. You had such a kind, caring heart, and that’s something I’ll never forget… We’re going to miss you more than I can even put into words."
Another shared a poignant reflection on their long friendship: "You were my best friend for over a decade… and I don’t even know how to put into words what that means or how much history lives inside that sentence. Grief is strange when it’s someone who once knew your whole world — someone who held pieces of your life that no one else will ever fully understand."
The outpouring of love underscores the impact Jordan had on those around him, remembered not just for his public persona but for his genuine connections and spirited nature.
