Tributes to Birmingham dad Fazal Hussain

Tributes have been paid to a Birmingham dad whose 'kindness, warmth, and presence touched many lives in the community'. Fazal Hussain, from Alum Rock, died in a 'profound loss for his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him', according to city councillor Majid Mahmood.

Mr Hussain used to manage the Bollywood Video store on Alum Rock Road. His family will receive condolences at Zia-Ul-Quran Mosque, on St Saviours Road in Alum Rock, from 1pm onwards on Monday, June 22.

Bromford and Hodge Hill representative Coun Mahmood posted on X: 'It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Uncle Fazal Hussain of Alum Rock, beloved father of Bash, Gulfraz, Waqas and Saf, and uncle of my dear friends Sajad Yousef, Tariq, and Israr of Hodge Hill and Ratta, Azad Kashmir.'

Condolences and Funeral Arrangements

The family will be receiving condolences at Zia-Ul-Quran Mosque, St Saviours Road, Alum Rock, from 1pm onwards tomorrow. The details regarding the Janazah (funeral) prayer and arrangements will be announced by the family in due course, inshaAllah. Coun Mahmood added: 'At this difficult time, we ask everyone to keep Uncle Fazal and his family in their duas. May Allah SWT forgive his shortcomings, expand and illuminate his grave, grant him the highest ranks in paradise, and give patience to the family. Ameen.'
