Comedian and I'm A Celebrity star Seann Walsh has been forced to pull out of multiple comedy performances after falling suddenly ill, throwing his anticipated return to the ITV franchise into serious doubt.
Unpacked Appearance Now Uncertain
The 39-year-old was scheduled to appear on the jungle companion show, I'm A Celebrity Unpacked, alongside host Joel Dommett. However, his participation is now uncertain following his illness.
Walsh took to social media to apologise to his fans, stating: "Apologies to the audience in Hordean tonight and in Cornwall tomorrow night. I will no longer be appearing as I suddenly became ill last night. It's not pretty."
He further recommended that fans still attend the events, praising the promoters for always putting on a "fantastic night."
From Jungle to Unpacked: A Reality TV History
This is not Walsh's first brush with the I'm A Celebrity world. He was a contestant in the main 2022 series, where he entered the jungle as a late arrival and ultimately finished in 11th place.
His reality TV history also includes a controversial stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, which made headlines when he was photographed kissing his professional dance partner, Katya Jones, while both were in other relationships.
Fellow comedian and Unpacked host Joel Dommett recently spoke about their long-standing friendship and a friendly rivalry, revealing that Walsh beat him in a comedy competition years ago. Dommett had teased that they planned to "do live stand up comedy on Unpacked to see who wins."
Who Else Is Joining Unpacked?
The spin-off show will still feature a lineup of popular former campmates. This year's celebrity guests are set to include Lioness Jill Scott and former King of the Jungle Sam Thompson.
Co-host Kemi Rodgers expressed her excitement for the new series, while also hoping to avoid a repeat of last year's incident where a jungle critter landed on her head during the broadcast.
