The comedic competition reaches its climax as Taskmaster series 20 concludes tonight on Channel 4. After weeks of absurd challenges and hilarious judging, a new champion will be crowned, claiming the coveted prize and the approval of Taskmaster Greg Davies and his assistant, Alex Horne.
When to Watch the Grand Finale
Fans won't have to wait long to see who triumphs. The series 20 final is scheduled for its regular time slot. The episode begins at 9pm on Thursday, November 13. The broadcast is set to run for approximately one hour, wrapping up this chapter of the beloved show.
A preview from the Radio Times promises a chaotic and entertaining finish, hinting at mutiny, apple juice mishaps, and Alex Horne getting repeatedly drenched. It all leads to the moment Greg Davies crowns the latest Taskmaster winner.
Meet the Series 20 Contestants
The line-up for the twentieth series was announced back in July, featuring a diverse group of comedic talent. The five contestants vying for the title are:
- Ania Magliano: A comedian and writer known for her work on 'Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date' and appearances on popular podcasts.
- Maisie Adam: A stand-up comedian familiar to audiences from 'The Big Fat Quiz of the Year' and 'Celebrity Mastermind'.
- Phil Ellis: A stand-up comic and a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for over a decade.
- Reece Shearsmith: Best recognised for his iconic roles in 'The League of Gentlemen', 'Psychoville', and 'Inside No. 9'.
- Sanjeev Bhaskar: An actor and comedian famed for his role in ITV's 'Unforgotten' and his work on 'Goodness Gracious Me'.
As always, they are presided over by the formidable duo: host Greg Davies and the task-creating Alex Horne.
Double the Festive Fun and a Champion of Champions
While one series ends, the Taskmaster calendar is packed with more entertainment. For the first time ever, Taskmaster's New Year Treat will air two special episodes during the festive period.
These standalone specials will feature a new set of five celebrities competing for festive glory, with the full line-up to be revealed soon. Additionally, the ultimate Champion of Champions tournament is set to return, pitting previous winners Sam Campbell, John Robins, Andy Zaltzman, and Mathew Baynton against each other in a battle for the supreme title.
