Birmingham's Largest Halal Food Court Opens in Digbeth's Art Quarter

This week marks the grand opening of Birmingham's biggest halal food court, located within the Art Quarter in Digbeth. The venue, which already houses a barber shop and a women's only salon, will welcome numerous new halal food vendors starting Friday, March 20, 2026, offering a wide array of culinary delights to residents across the city.

New Vendors and Offerings

Among the exciting new stores set to open is Kacao Cafe, which aims to bring Emirati cafe culture to Birmingham. It will feature a range of brunch items and patisserie goods, with its gold sign already in place ahead of the launch. Another addition is Broth Noodle Bar, specializing in rich, comforting broth noodles loaded with flavour and customizable toppings.

Additionally, Kohitayn will offer artisan coffee, desserts, and pocket toasts, while Fat Belly provides a dedicated matcha area with premium and creative matcha drinks. For health-conscious visitors, Frost Froth will serve acai bowls and nutritious meals, rounding out a diverse food selection.

Special Events and Community Focus

Prior to the official opening, a large Chand Raat event is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, offering an exclusive first look just before Eid celebrations. Jordan Patel, CEO of Art Quarter and a resident of Edgbaston, emphasized the site's goal to champion social cohesion. He described Art Quarter as a creative community hub that fosters unity and shared identity, aiming to attract both local and international audiences to put Birmingham on the map.

Located at 11 Allison Street in Digbeth, Art Quarter is a nearly fully refurbished site that might be easy to miss from the outside but promises a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere inside. With its focus on halal cuisine and community engagement, this new food court is set to become a key destination for food lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike.
