Cadbury World Unveils Record-Breaking 55kg Mini Egg in Birmingham

Cadbury has responded to overwhelming public demand by creating the world's largest Mini Egg, a colossal 55kg chocolate masterpiece unveiled at Cadbury World in Birmingham just in time for the Easter holidays. The chocolate giant promises this new creation, dubbed the 'Mega Mini Egg', will delight fans of all ages with its impressive scale and seasonal charm.

A Giant Response to Public Enthusiasm

The Bournville-based confectioner revealed that expert chocolatiers at Cadbury World were inundated with requests from the public to craft a giant version of the much-loved Easter favourite. This follows the tremendous success of last year's world's largest Cadbury Creme Egg, which sparked similar excitement among chocolate enthusiasts.

Cadbury stated: "The expert chocolatiers at Cadbury World were overwhelmed with requests from the public to create a giant version of the other much-loved Easter favourite. Crafted to delight Cadbury Mini Egg fans of all ages, this iconic, larger-than-life creation will provide guests with an unmissable seasonal display."

Handcrafted Mastery Over Two Days

The monumental chocolate egg was meticulously handcrafted by Cadbury World's in-house chocolatiers Claire Fielding, Dawn Jenks, and Donna Pitt, who dedicated two full days to the project from start to finish. Standing at an impressive 70 centimetres tall, the Mega Mini Egg replicates the classic Mini Egg design on a massive scale.

The chocolate company emphasized the egg's substantial weight, noting it tips the scales at a whopping 55 kilograms – equivalent to the weight of an adult cheetah. The creation features the iconic pastel pink sugar-coating crisp shell with subtle speckles scattered across its surface, maintaining the signature spring-inspired aesthetic that has made Mini Eggs a British Easter staple for generations.

Continuing a Tradition of Seasonal Innovation

Claire Fielding, one of the chocolatiers behind the creation, expressed her team's enthusiasm for the project: "After the amazing reaction to last year's gigantic Cadbury Creme Egg, we knew we had to craft something just as fantastic for 2026. Cadbury Mini Eggs are another absolute favourite and a British Easter staple, so creating the Mega Mini Egg felt like the perfect next challenge."

Fielding continued: "We took that instantly recognisable shell and chocolate centre and scaled it up into a real showstopper. It's been so rewarding seeing it come to life, and we can't wait for visitors to come and see it in person this Easter."

The West Midlands chocolate manufacturer, renowned for its seasonal treats including both Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs, will display the Mega Mini Egg in the Chocolate Making area at Cadbury World beginning Monday, March 30th. The attraction expects the giant creation to draw significant visitor interest throughout the Easter half-term period, offering families and chocolate lovers a unique seasonal experience.

This latest creation reinforces Cadbury's position as an innovator in chocolate craftsmanship while celebrating the enduring popularity of their Easter products. The company's commitment to responding to public enthusiasm with such ambitious projects demonstrates their ongoing connection with consumers who cherish these seasonal traditions.
