Giant Inflatable Park Arrives in Dudley for Easter Holidays
A colossal inflatable park is making its way to Dudley for the Easter holidays, promising an exhilarating experience for families. Spanning the entire perimeter of a rugby pitch, Inflatable Fun Days will feature towering slides measuring 10 metres high and 40 metres long, creating a vibrant playground in the heart of the community.
Thrilling Attractions for All Ages
The park is not just about slides; it includes a variety of engaging activities designed to entertain children aged two to twelve. Kids can tackle challenging assault courses, dodge punch bags, climb through rings, and scramble across a pirate ship. For younger children aged two to five, a dedicated smaller area offers bouncy castles and gentler slides, ensuring safe and enjoyable play for all.
In addition to the inflatables, children can meet and take photos with mascots, with past events featuring characters like the Minions and potential appearances from Bluey this year. Owner Ben Buxton, based in Leicester, emphasizes the scale of the event, stating, "This is not a little leisure centre bouncy castle. The inflatables go all round the whole outside of a rugby pitch."
Affordable Family Entertainment
With a cost of £10 per child for three hours of bouncing, the park provides budget-friendly fun. Adults enter for free, making it an economical choice for families; for example, two children cost just £20. Families are welcome to bring their own picnics and drinks, or they can purchase food from on-site vendors like hot dog stands and ice-cream vans.
Ben Buxton highlights the value, noting, "You can bring picnics and drinks and only spend £20, or you can buy food there." The park has also become a popular venue for birthday parties, with one parent saving money by ordering Domino's pizzas, keeping costs lower than traditional party venues.
Event Details and Logistics
The next event is scheduled at Dudley Kingswinford Rugby Club from April 3 to 6, with two sessions per day. Located at Kingswinford Rugby Club, Swindon Road, Wall Heath, Kinver, Kingswinford DY6 0AW, it is approximately a 45-minute drive from Birmingham via the A457, depending on traffic.
Payment is made on the day, and families are advised to check Inflatable Family Fun Days on social media before visiting, as heavy rain may lead to closures for safety reasons. The event has received positive feedback, with Buxton adding, "The reaction has been really good, families really enjoy it."
This initiative, which began in 2017 at agricultural shows before moving to sports clubs for better accessibility, continues to grow, offering a unique and memorable experience during the Easter break.
