Wensleydale Railway Hosts Free Easter Arts and Crafts for Families
Inspirational family days out are arriving at the Wensleydale Railway this Easter with a series of free arts and crafts activities designed to keep children entertained throughout the holidays. The heritage line is offering a 'great value' experience for local families, combining creative sessions with scenic journeys through the heart of the Yorkshire Dales during the spring break.
Affordable Travel for Families
Determined to make the holidays accessible, the railway has announced that children aged 3 to 15 can travel for just £1 when accompanied by a paying adult. This special seasonal offer ensures that families can enjoy the magic of heritage rail travel without breaking the bank, providing an affordable way to explore the picturesque landscapes.
Bunny Rail Trail Details
From Wednesday, April 1 until Wednesday, April 8, the Bunny Rail Trail will be available across Leeming Bar and Leyburn Stations. Families can help find the bunnies hidden around the railway by picking up a free trail sheet at either station. Once the bunnies are found, participants can tick the sheet and claim a chocolatey reward, adding an element of fun and discovery to the day out.
Easter Crafts at Scruton Station
On Wednesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 8, from 11am to 2pm, Scruton Station will host free Easter crafts activities. Visitors can take the train from Leeming Bar to enjoy activities such as egg painting, bunny faces, and chicks on sticks at this wonderfully restored 1910 station. After the crafts, families can jump back on the train to Leeming Bar and then Leyburn to continue the Bunny Rail Trail adventure.
