A 73-year-old man from the West Midlands has found an unusual niche in the calendar market, creating a 2026 edition dedicated to the angriest 'Karens' in his hometown.
From Mundane to Bizarre: The 'Karendar' is Born
Kevin Beresford, a pensioner from Redditch, spent several weeks during the summer tracking down what he describes as the scariest middle-aged women named Karen he could find. His hunt resulted in the 'Karens of Redditch' 2026 calendar, which he has affectionately dubbed his 'Karendar'.
The dad-of-four is now selling the bizarre creation for £12.99 per copy. He proudly claims that a Karen from Redditch possesses the unique ability to "outfight, outpunch, out scratch, outdrink and outdo" any other British Karen.
More Than a Joke: The Karen Appreciation Society
Despite the humorous premise, Beresford insists there is a supportive message behind the project. He explained that the idea sparked after a friend hesitated to complain about a delivery issue for fear of being labelled a 'Karen'.
"We got talking further and decided to start the Karen Appreciation and Support Society (KASS) to show our solidarity with the Karens of this world," Beresford said. He wanted to celebrate women actually named Karen who feel unfairly stereotyped by their name's modern, meme-fuelled connotations.
A History of Quirky Calendars
Kevin Beresford is no stranger to offbeat calendar concepts. He has previously built an unlikely reputation as the self-proclaimed 'dullest man in Britain', selling calendars on subjects as mundane as roundabouts, allotments, and car parks.
However, he believes his latest venture into the world of 'Karens' could be his most bizarre offering to date. The calendar is intended as the perfect gift for winding up a friend. "It’s a mate sending someone something," he quipped, while also speculating that "real Karen’s" might want to purchase it themselves.
The 2026 Karendar stands as a testament to one pensioner's unique entrepreneurial spirit and his mission to find humour, and a bit of appreciation, in one of the internet's most famous stereotypes.
