Traitors Star Reveals What Claudia Winkleman Is Really Like Off-Screen
A former star of the hit BBC show The Traitors has opened up about his experiences with the beloved television presenter Claudia Winkleman, offering a rare glimpse into her true personality behind the scenes.
Dr Amos Ogunkoya's Verdict on the TV Icon
Dr Amos Ogunkoya, a 34-year-old doctor who rose to fame during the inaugural series of The Traitors UK, worked closely with Claudia Winkleman in the early days of the show. In an exclusive conversation with BirminghamLive, he shared his candid thoughts on what the host is really like when the cameras are off.
"She's awesome. She's really nice. She's exactly how she is on TV," Dr Amos revealed. "She's really friendly. Every time I see her she's just really lovely and catches up, and we still message sometimes on Instagram, so it's great to be able to connect with her."
He emphasized that they have maintained contact since the show, highlighting Winkleman's warm and approachable demeanor, which aligns perfectly with her on-screen persona. This insight comes as Winkleman has since launched her own BBC chat show, further cementing her status as a television icon.
Lifelong Friendships Forged on Reality TV
Beyond his connection with Winkleman, Dr Amos reflected on the lasting impact of his time on The Traitors. He shared that the experience taught him the value of forming deep connections quickly, a skill he finds crucial in both personal and professional life.
"I really, really made connections with people and I realised that, you know when you watch reality TV shows, and you're like, these people can't be friends, they've been together about a week - you can be lifelong friends," he said. "I've kept lifelong friends from The Traitors."
He went on to explain the importance of this ability, stating, "It's really important that you can make connections with people really quickly." This perspective challenges common perceptions about the superficial nature of reality television, showcasing how genuine relationships can emerge from such intense environments.
