Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have yet to announce the name of their newborn son, despite dropping hints about what fans can expect. The Love Island star shared the joyous news of her second baby's birth on June 2, posting a picture of Tommy and the baby in hospital. She later revealed she is now a "boy mum" but kept the name a secret.
Molly-Mae's Hints About the Name
In her YouTube vlog, Molly-Mae said: "It's definitely not as different as Bambi, I would say. But I've only ever heard one other child be called it, and it's not someone in the public eye." Tommy added to the Mirror: "All will be revealed on Saturday night. I'm looking forward to it. I think I've been asked more about the name than the actual fight. It's going to be an entertaining night on Saturday and all will be revealed. It's been a huge week for me and it can't be described as anything other than a huge blessing."
Expert Predictions
The Mirror spoke to SJ Strum, the UK's leading baby name consultant, for her insight. Strum suggested several possibilities: "Molly says it's hard to pronounce but goes with their surname. If they're linking on meaning, I love the idea of Shiloh - it means peaceful, which is a nice juxtaposition to Fury. Pronounced Shy-Low, it's modern and sweet and very on trend."
She also proposed Tadgh, explaining: "It feels whimsy like Bambi and is pronounced 'Tie-g' like the beginning of Tiger, which gives a cute animal nod." Another option is Hercules: "It could be another great Disney nod - it means glory or fame. Hercules is renowned for his strength, making it really apt for the boxing family. Plus, it's pronounced Her-Cu-Lees as three syllables, making it a bit difficult to potentially get right 'on paper'."
Fan Favorite
However, one name tops fan speculation: Midas. Strum said: "Lots of guesses are going to Midas; a mythological King who turned everything he touched into gold. It would really appeal to the champion boxer plus has a sweet sound that flows with Molly-Mae with the same first initial."
